Nearly 100 years after George and Don Weaver gathered their first eggs in Versailles, Ohio, the Weaver family is still carrying on the egg business. Today, Alex Weaver serves as president and is the fourth generation to lead the company.

“I got started in the business very young, stacking eggs in the cooler and sweeping the floors,” Weaver said. “I just really got involved and tried to learn all the different facets of the business through the years.”

Weaver Eggs has grown into a vertically integrated operation. The company produces its own feed, raises hens, processes eggs in its own facilities, and ships directly to customers. It also partners with local families to raise birds through contract arrangements.
